This client wanted a more environmentally-friendly driveway installed. The client had previously had a tarmac drive for that they shared with their neighbour in Bracknell. Tarmac drives are non-porous and as such water doesn’t penetrate down into the ground underneath, meaning that any plants with root systems under the tarmac do not get access to moisture and the water runs off of the driveway and has to be routed into drains.
The client opted for a block-paving driveway as a replacement as any rain water that hits the drive will penetrate down into the sand between the paving blocks and into the soil underneath.
